CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS: 

Bilingual Community Advocate – Part-Time

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, community-minded individual to assist the Manager of Community Based Services in organizing and growing our WINGS Community Based Services Programs.  The location for this work will be split between our Rolling Meadows Main Office and the POC in Palatine.  Expected work will be approximately 20 hours per week.

General Responsibilities Include: Support the effective and efficient delivery of WINGS Community Based Services to clients by assisting the Manager of Community Based Services in a broad range of duties.  Maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, clients, and other external constituents. House Advocate for WINGS Metro

Responsible for answering phones and assisting callers, greeting guests (clients), staff, volunteers, and service providers who come to the door. Advocate is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the Safe House.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  (sample)
 Provide crisis intervention, counseling, education, safety planning, and referrals to callers on the crisis line.

 Approve intake and eligibility evaluations with potential guests.
 Conduct and approve intake and eligibility evaluations to determine guest’s needs and appropriateness for services at the Safe House.
 Interact with guests in the community areas of WMI and role model social skills, conflict resolution, parenting and other skills of daily living (this may include time management, self-care, conflict and stress management, parenting, nutrition, meal planning, parenting, car maintenance, budgeting).
 Supervise and coordinate activities related to house policies and chores.

Full-Time Family Advocate for our Suburban Safe House Needed Immediately

WINGS favors a strengths based approach to working with residents. The FA I position involves working with victims of domestic violence and homeless women and children, our residents. The FA duties include; supportive services and case management to adults and children clients of the agency in ways that enhance their lives and assists them towards more independent living and wellness. Full-time Bilingual Children’s Advocate – NW Suburbs

Working alongside Family Advocates, the Bilingual Children’s Advocate is responsible for coordinating services for children, providing informal counseling and supervising interns. This advocacy position will assess, implement, and oversee activities that support the needs of the children of WINGS, particularly Spanish-speaking children. Sales Associate – Part-time for Niles Resale Store

The Sales Associate is a vital member of our Resale Team; a key player in maximizing revenue for WINGS Resale.  We need dedicated Sales Associates to contribute to the stores sales goals, which in turn help fulfill our mission to end domestic violence and homelessness. The Sales Associate is the most critical link in ensuring that our customers have a rewarding experience that will keep them returning time and time again. Yes, we are looking for great things in a Sales Associate – because our clients deserve it!

General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Resale Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager, the Sales Associate will be responsible for maintenance of the sales floor, cashier and administrative duties, donation processing, stocking the floor, and customer service needs for the store.

Full-time MOVER/DRIVER for our Transportation Department

PART-TIME DONATIONS PROCESSOR
