CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS:
Grant Writer – Foundations and Corporate Relations
Objective: To enhance the financial sustainability and growth of WINGS Program, Inc. through the systematic identification, cultivation and solicitation of funding resources. This position works with the Assistant Director of Development to execute the fundraising goals of the organization, primarily using grant and proposal writing.
* Establish and cultivate relationships with key individual, foundation, and corporate contacts.
* Establish and maintain a stewardship program for donors which include regular individualized contact in addition to acknowledgements, recognition, and required reports in order to enhance relationships.
* Facilitate site visits and cultivation activities.
* Identify opportunities for the CEO and Senior Director of Development to enhance WINGS’ relationship with foundations, corporations and community organizations.
Part-time House Advocate
Responsible for answering phones and assisting callers, greeting guests (clients), staff, volunteers, and service providers who come to the door. Advocate is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the Safe House.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide crisis intervention, counseling, education, safety planning, and referrals to callers on the crisis line.
Approve intake and eligibility evaluations with potential guests.
Conduct and approve intake and eligibility evaluations to determine guest’s needs and appropriateness for services at the Safe House.
Awake Overnight House Advocate – Part-Time
Location: WINGS Safe House
Objective: Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of the residents in the safe house during the overnight hours. The Awake Overnight House Advocate is responsible for answering the crisis line and assisting callers. Worker is responsible for accurate data entry into the computer database, completing purchase orders for final approval, and making hourly safety checks of the safe house. Worker may also be responsible for preparing meals during the shift.
