WINGS is a state-licensed site offering mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence Awareness and Intervention Training to individuals volunteering at WINGS domestic violence Safe House, as well as to other volunteers and professionals serving domestic abuse victims. Topics include the definition of domestic violence, myths and realities, the cycle of violence, types of abuse, direct services issues, safety planning, abuser profile, teen dating, human trafficking, and legal issues.
Training occurs tri-annually – January, May, and August.
