WINGS services for families fleeing domestic violence are funded, in part, by proceeds from our three resale stores. These stores are known for their selection of high-quality, donated merchandise which includes clothing for women, children, and men, as well as an excellent array of housewares, accessories, jewelry, and furniture.

Do I need an appointment to make a donation?
No.
What items does WINGS accept?
Items we gladly accept at our donation centers:
- Women’s, Men’s, and Children’s Clothing
- Accessories, Jewelry, Scarves, Purses, Handbags
- Shoes
- Housewares, Linens, Artwork
- Books (Niles Resale Store Only)
Soft donations such as clothes must be placed in sealed plastic bags. Hard and breakable items such as dish sets must be placed in sealed boxes.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept:
- Hazardous Materials
- Computers, Stereos, Tube Televisions
- Encyclopedias
- Tools
- Hard Wire Lighting Fixtures
- Building Materials
- Baby Furniture
Items can be dropped off at the WINGS Resale Stores.
There are large basket carts located for your convenience. Please place your items in sealed bags or boxes.
WINGS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We have donation receipts available upon request.
Does WINGS have a pick-up service?
Yes, WINGS provides a pick-up service of gently used furniture.

Instructions:
Please email clear pictures of all furniture items for donation.
We need your address and best phone number.
- Our transportation team will be available to pick up approved furniture.
- Pick-ups are scheduled 7-10 days out. We will try to accommodate your schedule.
- Donation pick-ups are Monday through Saturday, 9:00am – 12:00pm.
- We ask that upholstered furniture is free of stains, rips, smoke, pet hair, and fading.
- Wood furniture pieces must be free of excessive nicks, stains, scratches, and repair.
- We only pick-up items on the first floor of Single-Family Homes and Townhomes.
We do not accept bedframes, headboards, footboards, mattresses, cribs, sleeper sofas, armoires, large desks, wall units, entertainment centers, and China cabinets.
Our Transportation Professionals have the authority to refuse items that do not meet our guidelines. Items can be refused because of the cost to transport, repair, refurbish, or discard. We do not have the capacity to pick up additional items not pictured.
Does WINGS offer delivery service for furniture purchased in the WINGS Resale Stores?
WINGS works with third-party vendors that offer delivery service. Please visit our stores for additional information.
What happens to the items that are donated?
Your donated items benefit programs in one of three ways:
1. Your donation will go directly to the clients in our programs to meet their individual needs.
2. Your donation will go to the WINGS Resale Stores to be sold. WINGS clients receive vouchers to shop at no cost for items.
3. Your donation will go to the WINGS Resale Stores to be sold and the proceeds will directly benefit our clients and programs.
