For many years, Wayne at Mikes Bike Shop located in Palatine, has been donating bicycles to WINGS clients. The bicycles have provided access to transportation for domestic violence survivors who often come to WINGS with only the clothes on their backs.

Empowered WINGS Graduate Becomes Alderman of Prospect Heights. Michelle, a WINGS graduate of 25 years ago, recently was voted Alderman of Prospect Heights.

This year, 93-year-old Helen Jerusis was named the Village of Schaumburg’s Adult Volunteer of the Year. Not only is Helen an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer, but she recruits others to join her efforts at WINGS Schaumburg Resale Store and at the agency’s Logistics Center.
