WINGS 12^th Annual Fashion Show Draws 570 Attendees to End Domestic Violence

WINGS 12^th Annual Fashion Show was a smashing success. On Sunday, March 3^rd, 570 attendees and numerous sponsors raised over $300,000 towards the agency’s mission to provide housing, integrated services, education, and advocacy to end domestic violence.

This year’s highly anticipated event sold out two weeks before.

Part of the enthusiasm for this year’s event stemmed from the Fashion Show’s theme: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, which was showcased throughout the event.

“We are so happy with the success of this year’s fashion show.

It was amazing to see how many people came out to support WINGS and embraced the Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme,” Nikki Katrodia, WINGS Manager of Special Events shares.

Event Highlights

Upon arriving to Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre, Guests enjoyed a welcome drink donated by International House of Wine and Cheese, amazing raffle prizes, shopping with unique vendors that support WINGS Resale stores, and a delicious luncheon.

In recognition of International Women’s Day, volunteers passed out tulips from the Flower Studio to all of the women attendees. The energy of the room was electric during a fast-paced fund the need paddle raise.

One of the lucky attendees won the grand raffle prize…a trip for two to New York City which included airfare donated by JetBlue airlines, 3-night hotel stay, and a breakfast reservation at the Blue Box Café located inside the Tiffany & Co. flagship store.

However, the highlight of the event was WINGS one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring volunteers and WINGS graduates and their children.

“The children models really stole the runaway show and were definitely a crowd favorite,” Nikki says.
