  • 35 Years, 35th Anniversary, End Domestic Violence, Philanthropy, Purple Tie Ball, WINGS, WINGS Fundraiser, WINGS Program

This year’s Purple Tie Ball will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Westin Hotel in Itasca. The event is traditionally held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this year is very special as the event will kick off a yearlong celebration of WINGS 35th anniversary.

Under the leadership of our co-chairs, Melissa Canning and Debby Jackson, this year’s Purple Tie Ball promises to be our best ever.  We are excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Jennifer Langton, Senior Vice President of Player Health and Safety for the NFL, who will talk about the impact of domestic violence in the world of professional sports.

Tickets are $250 per person and includes a cocktail reception, elegant dinner, our annual David K. Hill award presentation to an outstanding WINGS graduate, keynote speaker, auctions, and dancing till midnight!

Some of the featured silent auction items include a MAC Cosmetics box valued at $500, a downtown luxury stay at the Four Seasons Hotel and The Langham Hotel, tickets to a performance at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a Tory Burch handbag and $500 gift card, and so much more! The Live Auction will feature a Crystal New England Cruise donated by Travelex International, a unique dinner experience at The Glenview House, and an opportunity to have dinner with Jim Cornelison, Chicago Blackhawks National Anthem Singer!
