WINGS Purple Tie Ball Raises Over $1.2 Million For Domestic Violence Services
(Schaumburg, IL) – WINGS raised $1,225,000 for comprehensive services and programs for domestic violence survivors at its 26th Annual Purple Tie Ball on Saturday, October 3, 2026. More than 700 guests attended the grand masquerade ball at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Attendees were immersed in a grand masquerade ball atmosphere that will include a cocktail reception, full dinner, live music from Hello Weekend, and the presentation of the prestigious David K. Hill Award to an inspirational WINGS graduate.
Attendees had the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind experiences, while at the same time benefitting WINGS mission to end domestic violence. Live auction experiences include exotic trips, premium sports and concert tickets, and more.
“We are thrilled that this year’s Purple Tie Ball raised the most funds in the event’s 26-year history,” says Rebecca Darr, WINGS President & CEO. “That support comes at a critical time, as a government grant that funded several counseling positions at our Foglia Family Resource Center has ended. Our community’s support means so much and allows us to say ‘yes’ to adult and child survivors of domestic violence seeking counseling, resources and support.”
