“He would be verbally abusive, physically abusive.
He would be in control financially as well as everything.
He isolated me, moved me from my home state and my family and everyone…
I prayed and asked, God, what can I do?” ~Louise*, Survivor
When the violence in her marriage escalated, Louise feared not only for her own safety, but for the safety of her son. Far from home and without a support system, she found herself asking a heartbreaking question: “What Can I Do?”
The answer came when someone connected her with WINGS. Hear how WINGS helped Louise* in her own words.
What You Can Do
Today, the demand for counseling and support continues to increase. Recent grant funding that supported several counseling positions ended on September 30, creating an urgent need for community support to ensure survivors and their children can continue receiving these life-changing services.
A gift today helps provide:
- Trauma-informed counseling for survivors and children
- Safety planning and crisis support
- Resources that help families rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence
Your donations help survivors like Louise*. She shares, “I feel more empowered now. I know a lot more about the cycle of abuse that I endured, and also that my son has endured… WINGS has transformed my life.”
Your donation helps ensure that when another survivor asks, “What can I do?” there is someone ready to answer with hope, safety, and support.
Thank you for standing with survivors and their children.
