WINGS Opens New Rolling Meadows Operations Center with Ribbon Cutting on November 5th
New 27,000-Square-Foot Center Unites WINGS Pantry, Resale Processing, & Housing Program Offices
Rolling Meadows, IL – (October 29, 2026) – WINGS, the largest provider of domestic violence services in Illinois, will host a ribbon cutting on Thursday, November 5th at 6:30pm at 1200 Carnegie St, Rolling Meadows. The 27,000-square-foot center will welcome WINGS Pantry donations, host volunteers sorting donations for WINGS Resale stores, and house offices for WINGS Housing Program staff.
“As we continue to grow to meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence in our community, we needed more space for donations and staff, plus loading docks for larger donations. This new center checks every box,” said Rebecca Darr, WINGS President & CEO.
WINGS purchased and customized the building at 1200 Carnegie Street using proceeds from the sale of the WINGS Logistics Center in Elk Grove Village, along with local government funds allocated by Senator Cristina Castro, Representative Nicolle Grasse, and Senator Mark Walker. The new center features three core spaces:
WINGS Pantry
Each month, WINGS Pantry fills an average of 105 orders for food and household supplies for families served by WINGS. These essential donations allow survivors to save funds and recover from financial abuse. Prior to moving to the new center, WINGS Pantry had been utilizing the parsonage of Lutheran Church of Martha and Mary in Mount Prospect for over 20 years.

- WINGS Pantry preparing for the “Coat Store” distribution where families served by WINGS come to select new coats and winter items.
WINGS Resale Sorting
Individual and group volunteers inspect and sort donations of clothing, housewares, and more to be distributed to WINGS three Resale Stores. The new location can now accommodate volunteer groups of up to 30 people, who can quickly organize more product and fill the stores, ultimately generating more revenue for WINGS life-changing services and programs.
WINGS Housing Program Offices
WINGS Housing Program staff, who earned a national Purple Ribbon Award last year, now have offices and meeting rooms in the new space. The program is proven to help end the cycle of domestic violence. Last year, 100% of clients who graduated from WINGS Housing Programs reported not returning to the person who caused them harm.

“The opening of this center comes at an ideal time,” said Darr. “As we prepare for the holiday season, we can invite groups of up to 30 volunteers to come in to sort donations for our stores or create holiday gift drives for the families we serve. Our new WINGS Pantry space provides the ability for families to ‘shop’ for new gifts for their family for free in a dignified department-store-like atmosphere.”
